India.Arie is busy working on her upcoming fifth studio album tentatively titled "Open Door". For her new album, Arie has teamed up with Israeli singer Idan Raichel for her follow-up to her 2009 Grammy winning album "Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics."
"I always go different (and) I went even farther," Arie said in an interview with the Associated Press. Expected to be released this summer, "Open Door," is set to include songs in both English and Hebrew.
With regard to her upcoming collaboration with Raichel, India states that she isn't worried about sales this go around, thanks to the support she's received from her family, friends and fans. "My family especially, they're like, 'Oh my god, India, why are you doing this? We don't know who's going to buy it,'" she recalled. "My mom cries every time she hears the songs," she continued. "...They kept saying stuff like, 'This is you, but different. It's almost like you can do anything, but it's still you.'"
