Live Video of the Day: "She Said" (Plan B)

Rapper and singer-songwriter Plan B is slowly making a name for himself in the States and back in 2011 was the opening act on Adele's  North American tour. With that said, I was able to see him and his band in action at her Chicago show and I was very impressed with his rapping skills and the musical content of his songs. Therefore check out his live performance of his joint "She Said" below from his appearance on Le Grand Journal from a few years ago and Enjoy!

The 2013 BRIT Award Nominations

The 2013 BRIT Award nominations were announced yesterday and Emeli Sandé along with Mumford & Sons and Alt-J were the big nominees with three BRIT Award nominations each. Emeli Sandé is truly the big nominee of the night having only a year ago been the recipient of the Critics Choice  which this year will go to Tom Odell. Plan B first came on my radar when he was the opening act for Adele's 2011 tour in support of her breakout sophomore album "21." Though he was playing mostly songs primarily from his soul influenced "The Defamation of Strickland Banks" album which became Plan B's own breakout joint in the UK, it comes as no surprise to me that he has flipped the sonic script on his latest release entitled "iLL Manors" as Plan B seemed more comfortable and excited when performing his raps. With that said, the singer/rapper really goes hard on this crazy beat spitting the entire time leaving no semblance of his soul singing "The Defamation of Strickland Banks" days. I had the opportunity to check out Plan B live when he opened for Adele during the first leg of her "Adele Live" tour and while I was suspect on some of the joints he played, he offers up a great and energetic live show which will have you on your feet regardless if you've heard of him and his music before or not. While Plan B rose to fame as a singer, I must say that I prefer his rhymes to his vocals.
