Live Audio: "Only If For a Night" (Florence + The Machine)

Florence + The Machine released their own Unplugged album two years and on the brief set, Florence + The Machine included a powerful rendition of the first song off of their sophomore album Ceremonials entitled "Only If For a Night."

In true Florence fashion, she keeps it rather slow and showcases off her trademark vibrato. While the recorded rendition of "Only If For a Night" is great, I think Florence's live rendition offers up a different take that I personally prefer. Last night was "music's biggest night" and I thought it would be nice to rewatch 2011's amazing GRAMMY tribute to the Queen of Soul.

Featuring Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, Florence Welch, Martina McBride, and Yolanda Adams, the quintet shared the stage to honor the Grammy legend with her hits "Natural Woman", "Ain't No Way", "Respect", "Think", "Until You Come Back To Me", and "Spirit In The Dark."

Each woman turns in an amazing performance and in my opinion, it was the best performance of the 2011 GRAMMYs in my opinion. With that said, watch it below and Enjoy!

Amazing Cover: "Amy Winehouse Tribute" (Vh1 Divas)

While Vh1 is currently in preproduction for the forthcoming Vh1 Divas tribute concert in honor of the Whitney Houston and Donna Summer, I thought we would revisit Vh1 Divas Celebrate Soul's tribute to Amy Winehouse thanks to  the legendary Wanda Jackson, Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings, and Florence Welch from Florence + The Machine. Having gain tremendous inspiration from Wanda Jackson, I feel as though Winehouse would have be extremely honored if she was alive to see one of her idols honoring her. With that said, watch Wanda Jackson and Sharon Jones share the stage on Amy's "You Know I'm No Good" and Florence's take of "Back To Black" below.

I don't know how I missed this, but Calvin Harris' collaboration with Florence Welch entitled "Sweet Nothing" recently received the official video treatment. With that said, take a few minutes and peep their dramatic collaboration for "Sweet Nothing" below!

One of my favorite joints from 2011 was the Florence + The Machine jam "What the Water Gave Me," which is lifted from recently released "Ceremonials." Though "Shake It Out" and "No Light, No Light" seems to be getting a lot more play from the album "What the Water Gave Me" was the first single lifted from the set and it was crafted by Florence Welch and Francis White. With that said, take a first or second listen below to "What the Water Gave Me" and Enjoy!

Behind the Scenes: The 53rd Grammy Awards Aretha Tribute

Check out this behind the scenes video where Jennifer, Martina, Florence, and Yolanda talk about the tribute and what it means to them. The tribute is expected to open tonight's 53rd Grammy Awards and is said to be the Grammy Awards' valentine to the Queen of Soul... Enjoy!

Behind the Scenes: Grammy Aretha Franklin Tribute: (Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera, Yolanda Adams, Florence Welch, and Martina McBride)

As mentioned earlier on Soul11, the Grammys have arranged a tribute to the Queen of Soul for this sunday's opening to the 53rd Grammys. Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera, Yolanda Adams, Florence Welch, and Martina McBride are all slated to honor the Aretha with a medley of her hits.  The ladies practiced earlier today a medley of some of Franklin's biggest hits, including their shared duet “Natural Woman” as well as their individual solos.

From rehearsals, it appears that Aguilera will sing “Ain’t No Way,” McBride will croon out “Until You Come Back to Me,” Welch will take on “Think", Hudson will belt out “Respect,” while Adams will lend her gospel pipes to the classic “Spirit in the Dark.” At the end of their rehearsal, all of the women came together again to sing “Sisters Are Doin’ It for Themselves.”

It should be interesting to see how their tribute to the Queen will go down this sunday at 8pm EST/7 CST on CBS. From the brief interview Hudson gave MTV, it seems as if the tribute is going along smoothly. Also check out some photos that were taken of the quintet rehearsing... Enjoy!
