New Joint: "Phoenix" (Dawn Richard ft. Aundrea Fimbres)

The day before (January 14th) releasing her highly anticipated album Blackheart, which is the second album in Dawn's planned solo trilogy, Dawn unearthed "Phoenix," the only collaboration on her album that features fellow former Danity Kane member Aundrea Fimbres.

Produced by Noisecastle III, "Phoenix" finds the former DK ladies cooing about redemption on Dawn's latest joint. With that said, take a listen to it below and if you like what you hear, go and cop Dawn's Blackheart, which is online now!

Remix: "Dark Horse (Unicorn Remix)" (Dawn Richard)

While Dawn Richard is busy working on her sophomore solo album Blackheart and working on the reunion of Danity Kane, Dawn put some time in the studio to offer a darker take on Katy Perry's latest #1 hit single "Dark Horse" from her latest LP PRISM.

Produced by Noisecastle III, the darker Unicorn mix features a reworked instrumentation and some smokey haunting vocals from Dawn Richard.

New Joint: "Levitate" (Dawn Richard)

With Danity Kane's forthcoming third album slated for release later this year, Dawn Richard has go into her vault to release a previously unheard of joint, "Levitate," while we await new music from both her and Danity Kane. 

Lifted from her Goldenheart/Blackheart recording sessions, "Levitate" is a solid new joint from the DK singer/songwriter and hopefully Danity Kane's promised comeback single will be finding its way onto the net ASAP.

New Video: "Riot/Northern Lights" (Dawn Richard)

While Dawn Richard has put her solo career on hold a bit as she relaunches Danity Kane officially with three of the original members, the official video for her joints "Riot" and "Northern Lights" leaked onto the net early on new years day.

Shot back in May 2013, "Riot" and "Northern Lights" serve as the second and third chapters in Dawn's visual journey for her album Goldenheart, which began with Dawn's hit single "'86." While the seven-and-a-half minute visual was put on hold as Dawn and her production partner Druski ended their creative relationship, I am glad that the compiled music visuals have hit the net.

While Dawn is back with Danity Kane plotting their highly anticipated return, it hasn't stopped her solo grind as she has just released a new joint in the form of "Fade."

Produced by Noisecastle III, "Fade" is a solid mid-tempo from the famed singer/songwriter and I wonder if this type of sonic material will find its way on Danity Kane's forthcoming third studio album

While rumors of a Danity Kane reunion have been swirling around since four of the original members grabbed lunch in Los Angeles a few weeks ago, Pacific Rim Video Press caught up with Dawn Richard who opened up about the absence of D.Woods from the lunch, the potential Danity Kane reunion, and issue of maintaining relevancy. After releasing her critically and commercially successful debut solo album Goldenheart earlier this month, Dawn Richard has released a remix to her joint "Northern Light" thanks to the production styles of D'Mile. Lifted as one of the bonus cuts from Goldenheart, "NLX" slows the pace down a bit from the original "Northern Light" and is another banger in my opinion from Dawn Richard. Dawn Richard is back with an official trailer for "GoldenHeart ['86]" which was shot by noted director  Eugene Lee Yang, last month. Speaking on the forthcoming video for "'86" Dawn stated:

"'86" is an homage to my past....[e]veryone wants to look at the Danity Kane thing as a negative but it's a positive. The girls have been and continue to be a guiding force in my journey throughout this music business."
