Released as the lead single from Des'ree's 1994 second album I Ain't Movin', "You Gotta Be" is an infectious song about the affirmative power of self-confidence. Written by the UK songstress, "You Gotta Be," is one of those joints from the 90s that will never get old in my book.
With that said, I hope you are taking a second listen to "You Gotta Be" below instead of a first, as Des'ree's empowering joint is one that everyone should have on rotation in their spirit if you ask me.
