Cut: "Little Girls" (Patti LaBelle)
When asked what is her favorite Patti LaBelle on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live a few years ago, Ms. Patti LaBelle revealed that it was actually her cut "Little Girls," which is featured on her second solo album Tasty.
Released in 1978, Tasty was not as big of a commercial success as Patti's self-titled debut album and featured the disco club hit, "Eyes in the Back of My Head" and the airplay-only pop ballad, "Little Girls." While "Little Girls" would peak on the Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart at #60, it is an often forgotten song in Patti's vast discography, but a gem nonetheless.
With that said, take a listen below to Patti's Allee Willis penned ballad "Little Girls" and if you like what you hear, (re)visit Patti's LP Tasty, as it has a few more gems on it from Ms. LaBelle's discography!
