Earlier tonight BET and Centric aired the telecast of the 2013 Soul Train Awards and K. Michelle hands down had the best performance of the night in my book. Beginning with an operatic riff that led into her new single "Can't Raise a Man," K. Michelle meant business during tonight's telecast and proved why she won Best New Artist.
In addition to performing "Can't Raise a Man," K. Michelle closed out her performance with a riveting performance of the song that started her Rebellious Soul journey, "V.S.O.P."
