Mayer Hawthorne released his third LP How Do You Do in October of last year and one of my favorite joints from the set is the the mid-tempo thumper "No Strings." Released as the set's lead single, the song gain some traction, though not enough in my opinion. With that said, Hawthorne even recorded a live version of the joint for Stone Throws Direct to Disc #1 and while he begins to get ready to release his followup Where Does This Door Go, you can listen after the jump to his live performance of this solid mid-tempo.
