It's my mom's birthday today and one of her favorite covers of the past few years has to be Ledisi's sublime take of Buddy Miles' "Them Changes," which helped inspire her Grammy-nominated LP Turn Me Loose. With that said, Ledisi accompanied Soulive at Bowlive III at Brooklyn Bowl back in 2012 during their funky cover of the Buddy Miles/Band of Gypsys classic that appears on Ledisi's Turn Me Loose. Watch Ledisi sang "Them Changes" with the assistance of the sublime Soulive below and I dare you not to get up and groove out to this phenomenal sonic mixture.
