Keyshia Cole's forthcoming album "Woman to Woman," made me harp back to the Shirley Brown Quiet Storm classic "Woman to Woman." Though often duplicated or reinterpreted by other artists such as the Jennifer Hudson and Fantasia duet "I'm His Only Woman," Brown's "Woman to Woman" is the original. Intended for Inez Foxx, who eventually turned it down, Brown's "Woman to Woman" peaked at number one on the Hot Soul Singles chart and is noted for being the last big hit for Stax Records.
