Though Jill Scott and Hidden Beach parted ways after a lawsuit that found Hidden beach retaining rights to Scott's early recordings, the record label is back again with another Scott project sans Jill. Entitled "Crates: Remix Fundamentals Volume 1: Jill Scott Spring Summer Feeling," the forthcoming June 26th project finds DJs and producers DJ Jazzy Jeff, Ron Trent, Mr Mig (Beyoncé), Ca$e Boogie (Young Money), and Jaymes"Th3ree Fourteen" Ball (Maybach Music) among others crafting remixes to some of Jill's most iconic songs.
