Artist News: Adele outsells "Thriller" in the UK

What came as somewhat of a shock in an age where LPs rarely sell past a million copies these days, Adele's "21" has gone onto outsell Michael Jackson's historic "Thriller" LP in the UK by 500 copies.  Adele‘s six-time Grammy-winning  "21" currently sits with sales of 4,274,300 copies in the UK alone. "21" has been moving roughly 20,000 copies/week for the past four weeks in the UK and has spent a mind-blowing 65 non-consecutive weeks on the UK Albums Chart since its release 15 months ago. "21"is also the biggest-selling album of the 21st Century, outselling previous record holder Amy Winehouse' "Back To Black." While no new singles are planned for release, a rumored summer tour is still up in the air. Either way, peep below the top ten selling albums in UK history, where Adele currently sits at #5 with her record-breaking "21."
