The Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks "Sparkle" remake has been pushed back from its original August 10th release date to August 17th to make room for Sony's Meryl Streep, Tommy Lee Jones, and Steve Carell dramedy "Great Hope Springs." Though only delayed a week, time will tell if "Sparkle" will enter the awards' season race as I am sure Meryl Streep's forthcoming film "Great Hope Springs" will gain some solid award season buzz.
