Though fans of Christina Aguilera expected a followup to 2010's "Bionic" later this year, it seems as if the young diva is aiming for a late spring or early summer release for her forthcoming LP. Recently speaking with RTL, Aguilera revealed the following about the album:
"It’s going to be a very heartfelt, deep routed and introspective record for me, we’re hoping for release in Spring/Summer next year."From her statement, it seems as though Christina is aiming for another record more in vein with "Stripped
" then her futuristic and dance influenced "Bionic." While time will tell how the album shapes up, it seems as though the planned release date should fair better for Xtina as she will just be coming off of the second season of "The Voice" and with the added promotion, it should help her achieve the chart success she is used to. While "Bionic" in my opinion was one of the most slept on major releases of 2010, Christina Aguilera seems to be setting herself backup for a commercial comeback of sorts.
