Billboard's Editorial Director Bill Werde recently tweeted about Jill Scott being at their office playing her forthcoming album "The Light of The Sun," which is expected to be distributed via Warner Music this coming summer. In his tweet, which you can see bellow, Werde informs his followers that her album is expected to drop June 28th and is more of an uptempo hip-hop record then her previous efforts. His tweet is the first mention of an official release date and hopefully her lead single "Shine" will appear in April or early May to add to the buzz about her upcoming album.
