Live Video of the Day: "VMAs Medley" (Beyoncé)

Earlier tonight, Beyoncé was presented with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard MTV Video Music Award and before she briefly accepted the honor from her husband Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy, Beyoncé performed a rousing medley of hits and cuts from her fifth and self-titled studio album BEYONCÉ.

Opening with "Mine," Beyoncé then slid into "Haunted" before grooving into "No Angel." Once "No Angel" concluded, Beyoncé performed one of my favorite cuts "Jealous" before giving the crowd a little bit of her Prince tinged throwback cut "Blow."

After heating things up with "Blow," Beyoncé then ascended into "Drunk In Love" followed by my favorite joint on her new album "Rocket" followed by fan favorite "Partition" and then a bit of "Flawless" and "Yoncé" just to get a little grimy with us.  To conclude, Beyoncé performed "Blue" and then ending with her set's first single "XO."

Live Clip: "VMA Opening Performance" (Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Jessie J)

To kick off the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, three of the biggest music stars on the planet united to perform their individual hits as well as their monster collaboration "Bang Bang."

Kicking off the night, Ariana Grande performed her current hit single "Break Free" with her retro/futuristic look then turning it over to Nicki who mesmerized with her phenomenal performance of "Anaconda."

After Nicki, Jessie J started off "Bang Bang" and was quickly joined by Ariana and then Nicki who was suffering a bit of a wardrobe malfunction, but handled it like the pro she is. Watch their energetic performance below and Enjoy!

New Video: "Bang Bang" (Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj)

A few minutes ago, MTV premiered the official music video for Jessie J's collaboration with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj after the three smashed the stage with their individual and combined performance of "Bang Bang."

With that said, the colorful video for "Bang Bang" features the concept of an all girl's block party and the trio of stars offer up the perfect video to accompany their infectious summer joint, which I am surprised hasn't reached #1 yet. Remix: "Astronaut (Ghost Loft Remix)" (Joel Compass)

Last year, a  Ghost Loft Remix of Joel Compass' joint "Astronaut" dropped and while I was a few days late on it back then, it has been featured on several of my iPhone mixes and came on earlier today.

Joel Compass, for some who are late is a really dope artist-on-the-rise and hopefully the end of 2014 or 2015 will see his star grow even further. With that said, take a listen after the jump to "Astronaut (Ghost Loft Remix)" and Enjoy!

Live Audio: "Mercy, Mercy Me" (Craig David)

With his fifth album rumored to be entitled Following My Intuition slated for release supposedly later this year via Universal and serving as the official followup to 2010'a covers album Signed Sealed Delivered, I thought it would be appropriate to revisit a gem from Signed Sealed Delivered as we await official word on when Craig David's new album Following My Intuition will see a release.

With that said, take a listen below to Craig David's amazing acoustic cover of the Marvin Gaye classic "Mercy, Mercy Me." Recorded during BBC 1 Xtra Live Lounge several years ago, Craig's smooth vocals compliment the Marvin Gaye classic nicely. While I am not sure what David has been up recently, it's evident by his live cover that he has one of the better voices among this generation.  Listen after the jump and Enjoy!

Amazing Cover: "The Beautiful Ones & Sex On Fire" (Beyoncé)

Back in 2011, Beyoncé counted down her top 10 moments during the 4 era and of course her history making headlining stint at that year's Glastonbury Festival is one of the top moments for the songstress.

Coming in at number 8, Beyonce shared the highlight moment for me during her set, which was a sublime cover and mashup of Prince's "The Beautiful Ones" and Kings of Leon's "Sex On Fire." With that said, rewatch her sublime performance below as we continue to enjoy the BEYONCÉ era.

Second Listen: ""Almost is Never Enough" (Ariana Grande ft. Nathan Sykes)

Was listening to Ariana Grande's Yours Truly earlier today and couldn't stop repeating her duet with The Wanted's Nathan Sykes on "Almost Is Never Enough." While it was semi released as the second single off of the YA film soundtrack for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, after the film bombed at the box office, the soundtrack and "Almost Is Never Enough" never really got much more of a push.

While Ariana is slated to release her sophomore album and followup to Yours Truly, My Everything this Tuesday, I thought it would be nice to revisit this slept on joint from the now bonafide superstar.

For me, "Almost Is Never Enough" is a beautiful duet between then two rising stars and is a bit reminiscent of a Mariah Carey/ Boyz II Men collaboration in my opinion. Though the song is a bit mature in arrangement for the two young singers in my opinion, Ariana continues to prove that her 90s-flavored R&B songs are winners both on the charts and vocally.

Live Audio: "Back Together Again" (Roberta Flack & Peabo Bryson)

Back in 1980, Roberta Flack and Peabo Bryson released a collaborative album Live & More, which included some of Roberta and Peabo's greatest hits.

Recorded in part at The Holiday Star Theater in Merrillville, Indiana, Roberta and Peabo offered up a solid live performance of the Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack classic "Back Together Again" and you can take a listen to it below!

Released as the third single from D'Angelo's sublime debut album Brown Sugar, "Lady" was co-written and co-produced with Raphael Saadiq and would go onto become the biggest hit from the effort, peaking at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

With that said, take a first or hopefully second listen below to "Lady" as we all eagerly await the release of D'angelo's forthcoming third album.

Live Clip: "How Can I Ease The Pain" (Lisa Fischer)

Lisa Fischer won a Grammy back in 1992 for her sublime vocal performance on "How Can I Ease The Pain" and more than a decade later, the song and Lisa still carry the same resonates as ever.

Lifted from the BAM R&B Festival at MetroTech in Brooklyn, NY earlier this month, Lisa's vocals are as strong as ever on "How Can I Ease The Pain" and this new arrangement to her smokey R&B classic just breaths even more life into her already evergreen hit.
