Live Clip: "How Can I Ease The Pain" (Lisa Fischer)

Lisa Fischer won a Grammy back in 1992 for her sublime vocal performance on "How Can I Ease The Pain" and more than a decade later, the song and Lisa still carry the same resonates as ever.

Lifted from the BAM R&B Festival at MetroTech in Brooklyn, NY earlier this month, Lisa's vocals are as strong as ever on "How Can I Ease The Pain" and this new arrangement to her smokey R&B classic just breaths even more life into her already evergreen hit.

With that said, watch Lisa's sublime live rendition of "How Can I Ease The Pain" below and Enjoy!

Live Video of the Day: "How Can I Ease the Pain" (Lisa Fischer)

Back in 1992, Lisa Fischer took part in Earth Voice Concert in Japan and while she was serving as a background singer that night, no one was foolish enough to just let Lisa coo it out in the background and she was of course brought front and center to perform her Grammy-winning hit single "How Can I Ease the Pain."

Featuring her aw-inspiring vocals that included her earth-shattering whistle register  Lisa proves why she is often regarded as one of the best singers ever. With that said, watch her powerful performance "How Can I Ease the Pain" after the jump and Enjoy!

Second Listen: "How Can I Ease the Pain" (Lisa Fischer)

Noted background singer Lisa Fischer took centerstage back in 1991 with the release of her debut album So Intense.

Released on Elektra Records, So Intense featured Lisa's breakthrough single "How Can I Ease the Pain" that would go onto win her both the Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance in addition to a Soul Train Music Award for Best R&B/Soul Single, Female.

Co-written by Fischer and Narada Michael Walden and produced by Narada Michael Walden and Louis Biancaniello, "How Can I Ease the Pain" spent two weeks atop Billboard's the Hot R&B Singles Chart  and remains a classic 90s staple.

With that said, take a second listen to "How Can I Ease the Pain" below and hopefully the documentary she co-stars in 20 Feet From Stardom has increased awareness and demand for Lisa Fischer!
