New Video: "I Still Love You" (Jennifer Hudson)

Earlier today, Jennifer Hudson premeired the official video for her latest single "I Still Love You," which is lifted from her GRAMMY-nominated third album JHUD.

Featuring a strong message of support for marriage equality,  Jennifer Hudson's uptempo joint "I Still Love You" is a solid club jam and potential song of the summer. Peep her new video below and Enjoy!

Second Listen: "Gotta Go Solo" (Patti LaBelle & Ron Isley)

Patti LaBelle and Ron Isley came together to record one of my favorite duets in recent history entitled "Gotta Go Solo."

While casual listeners and some fans of both of these legends have overlooked "Gotta Go Solo," it's such a great contemporary song that plays on the Mr. Big persona as well as offers up solid vocal showings from both LaBelle and Isley.

Cut: "Close To You" (Ron Isley ft. Lauryn Hill)

While Ron Isley was recording his solo album Mr. I, it appears that he and Lauryn Hill rerecorded the Burt Bacharach classic "Close To You," that Isley actually originally recorded for his covers album with Bacharach entitled Here I Am.

Though the song was never officially released, luckily for fans of Hill and Isley the duet surfaced on the net last year for our listening pleasure. With that said, take a listen to their sublime duet cut below and Enjoy!

Live Audio: "Don’t Explain" (Mariah Carey)

I've been telling people for years that I would love for Mariah Carey to do a jazz album because her tone and vocal abilities could really create an artistic moment that I think we've all been hungry for these past few years, not just from her, but music in general.

With that said, Mariah Carey kicked off The Elusive Chanteuse Show at Tokyo’s Makuhair Messe Arena back in October of 2014 and during an impromptu moment, Mariah decided to cover the Billie Holiday classic "Don’t Explain" in all its glory.

Luckily for us, one of her fans recorded the live vocal performance from Mariah and you can take a listen to it below!

After Kanye released his groundbreaking LP 808 & Heartbreaks, a lot of singer decided to cover his melodic tune minus the auto-tune that West decided to utilize stylistically for the project. During this time, Melanie Fiona was building her then burgeoning career and even toured with Kanye as an opening act for the European leg of his Glow in the Dark Tour.

With that said, after establishing herself in 2009 with her debut album The Bridge and her #1 hit single "It Kills Me," Melanie would often cover Kanye's "Heartless" from 808 & Heartbreaks during her set and below you will find a sublime live audio capture of one of Melanie's performances of it. Second Listen: "(Every Time I Turn Around) Back in Love Again" (L.T.D.)

Back in 1977 R&B/ Funk band L.T.D. released what is arguably their biggest hit to date in the form of "(Every Time I Turn Around) Back in Love Again."

Lifted from their fourth album Something to Love, the Bobby Martin produced and Len Ron Hanks and Zane Grey written classic would go onto peak at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the R&B Charts.

With that said, take a hopefully second listen below to the thumping classic "(Every Time I Turn Around) Back in Love Again" and Enjoy!

Cut: "Need Someone" (Mary J. Blige)

Back in 2010, Matt Morris released his major label debut album When Everything Breaks Open and one of the stunning cuts from the LP was his ballad "Someone to Love You." Fast-forward to 2011 and Mary J. Blige releases her tenth studio album My Life II... The Journey Continues (Act 1) and a stunning rendition of Morris' ballad has been re-imagined by Blige.

While Mary stays true to the lyrics and melody penned and created by Morris, the production from Martin Terefe takes the song to a different level with Mary's powerhouse soulful voice. Now entitled "Need Someone," I dare say this is Mary's finest vocal moment from My Life II... The Journey Continues (Act 1).

Amazing Cover: "I Can't Make You Love Me" (Jazmine Sullivan)

Bonnie Raitt's classic "I Can't Make You Love Me" has found new life in the new millennium with countless covers including Tank's, Adele's, and Bon Iver's to just name a few.

With that said, Jazmine Sullivan recently added herself to that growing list of singers who have added their own take on "I Can't Make You Love Me" and in true Jazmine fashion, she sings it down and owns the song with every fiber of her vocal range.

Throwing in several sublime vocal riffs that would make even the most skilled vocalist jealous, Jazmine's acoustic cover proves why she is continually one of the most underrated vocalists in the game today.

New Video: "Infinity" (Mariah Carey)

After releasing her single "Infinity" last month, Mariah Carey has finally unearthed the official music video for "Infinity" which features performance clips from her Vegas residency as well as special celebrity appearances from Tyson Beckford and Jussie Smollette.

With that said, the accompany video for "Infinity" is a cute, fun video that features Mariah Carey at her best and acts also as a promo for her residency that I am sure will be extended yet again. Peep her new video below and Enjoy!

Amazing Cover: "Giving Up" (Jennifer Holliday)

Jennifer Holliday is best known for originating the role of Effie White in the original broadway production of "Dreamgirls," which would later win the powerhouse vocalist both a Tony and a Grammy for her show-stopping number "And I Am Telling You."

While Holliday is still known primarily for this joint, one of my favorite songs in her discography is her cover of the Donny Hathaway hit and Gladys Knight & The Pips original "Giving Up." Having originally been write by Van McCoy and recorded by Gladys Knight & The Pips, Holliday infuses her legendary pipes into this classic and turns it into a near 9 minute soulful opus.
