Podcast: "Houston, We Have A Problem" (The BackBeat)

New Joint: "Out Loud" (Ameriie)

Ameriie and Rich Harrison crafted Ameriie's biggest hit to date a decade ago with "1 Thing" and now the duo are back, reuniting after a decade to bring Ameriie's latest smash "Out Loud."

While Ameriie has been busy in the studio working on two albums simultaneously, BILI (an ode to 2007's Because I Love It) and Cymatika, Vol. 1, not much has been heard of from either of these projects sans two singles, "Mustang" and "What I Want," which were released last year.

Either way it turns out, Ameriie uploaded "Out Loud" to her official Soundcloud page earlier today and while nothing will touch the nostalgia that "1 Thing" evokes for me "Out Loud" is a great spring jam that hopefully radio will embrace as we make our way to summer.

New Joint: "What I Want" (Ameriie)

Ameriie is back and on fire with her new single "What I Want," which is her first real return to music since the release of her album In Love & War five years ago. Belting it out over a soulful sample of Sugarhill Gang's "Apache," her new joint "What I want" is very reminiscent of her smash hit single "1 Thing" from back in 2005.

With that said, take a listen below to Ameriie's new joint "What I Want," which sounds like a summer banger to me, especially if radio embraces it as this joint warrants!

New Joint: "Every Time" (Ameriie)

Why Amerie changed her name to Ameriie is still a mystery to me, but the Georgetown educated sistah is back with a new joint entitled "Every Time," and I've been a fan of hers since day one back in 2002 and I am glad that she is making her way back to the music scene after a brief hiatus. With that said, take a listen to "Every Time" below and lookout for her mini LP "The Prelude," later this year.

I've always liked and supported Amerie now Ameriie because she is not only talented, but she is also educated with a degree in English from Georgetown University.  With that said, Ameriie made an appearance this past weekend in Georgia at an event put on by Next Level Agency. While it's been a minute since we've heard anything on the music front from the songstress, she is putting the finishing touches on her forthcoming album "Cymatika, Vol. 1" and I am interested in hearing what she has cooking for us.
