Today marks the 20th anniversary of the release of D'Angelo's Brown Sugar and I thought it would be appropriate to revisit some of the gems from his sublime debut LP.
Released as the third single from D'Angelo's sublime debut album Brown Sugar, "Lady" was co-written and co-produced with Raphael Saadiq and would go onto become the biggest hit from the effort, peaking at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
With that said, take a first or hopefully second listen below to "Lady" as we all eagerly await the release of D'angelo's forthcoming third album.
