While trolling through the soundtrack of 12 Years A Slave on iTunes back at the end of 2013 when the film came out, I came across Laura Mvula's brilliant cover of the standard "Little Girl Blue."
Offering a simple piano arrangement that really allows Laura's vocals to take center stage and shine, her emotive interpretation of "Little Girl Blue" really struck me to my core and warrant a listen or two below in my humble opinion.
