After disappointing fans with their Aaliyah biopic, Lifetime is back with their other high profile biopic, this time on megastar Whitney Houston simply entitled Whitney. Released almost three years after her death, the film is directed by Angela Bassett, who co-stared with Whitney Houston in Waiting To Exhale.
Whitney chronicles Whitney Houston's life from her beginnings as a choir girl in Newark, New Jersey, to her groundbreaking global superstardom that still looms today despite her absence.
With that said, Yaya DaCosta stars as Whitney Houston with newcomer Arlen Escarpeta plays Boby Brown while Deborah Cox takes on vocal duties for the film, singing some of Whitney's most iconic hits.
