Second Listen: "If I Ain't Got You" (Alicia Keys)

Back in 2003, Alicia Keys released her sophomore album The Diary of Alicia Keys and one of the numerous standouts from her iconic LP in my opinion was the set's second single "If I Ain't Got You."

Released in 2004 as the second single from The Diary of Alicia Keys, Alicia wrote and produced her standout ballad solo and even revealed that the idea of the song was inspired by Aaliyah's death: "The song idea came together right after Aaliyah passed away. It was such a sad time and no one wanted to believe it. It just made everything crystal clear to me—what matters, and what doesn't."

Peaking at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topping the charts for six weeks on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, the song received two nominations at the 2005 Grammy Awards, for Song of the Year and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, winning in the latter.

With that said, take a second listen below to "If I Ain't Got You" and Enjoy!
