Project in the Works: "A Death in the Family: The Show Must Go On"


The Grammy Awards saw its second highest rated telecast in its history this past year with 39.9 million viewers as the world tuned into help mourn the loss of Whitney Houston. Now the Recording Academy is releasing a behind the scenes documentary entitled "A Death in the Family: The Show Must Go On," which is a 26-minute feature that examines the 48 hours before the show when Paul McCartney's performances was rearranged, the tragic news of Whitney Houston's passing on Saturday, and last minute rehearsals and re-write sessions held the day of the 54th Grammy Awards. Featuring interviews and/or appearances with Grammy host LL Cool J, Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, co-producer Terry Lickona, director Louis J. Horvitz, talent producers Chantel Sausedo, Portnow and Ehrlichand, and Joe Walsh, to name a few, "A Death in the Family: The Show Must Go On" will premiere on June 11th at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in North Hollywood and will later be shown regularly at The Grammy Museum in downtown Los Angeles as well as their official website Grammy.com.
