Leona Lewis recently opened up to Yahoo about her often delayed forthcoming third album "Glassheart."
"It’s hard writing an album, it takes a while, you can’t rush it out — so you’re away for a bit. My album will be out at the end of the summer. I’ve had to be strong and courageous in what you want. Simon Cowell knew I was an artist not just a singer who’d sing any song. And now I have full creative control from the promotion, photo shoots and the video — it’s taken a while to get but I’ve got it now."While it appears as though Lewis is taking total control over her forthcoming music and moving forward from just being a songbird to becoming a bonafide singer/songwriter, time will tell if move will work in her favor or against her. While euro-dance joint "Collide" was a moderate hit here in the states, I look forward to hearing what Lewis has cooked up for "Glassheart" and look forward to hearing what "summer" has to offer.
