2012 is shaping up to be the year that D'Angelo makes his highly anticipated official return to the music scene after releasing 2000's "Voodoo." While buzz has been building for his forthcoming "James River" release, D'Angelo has only intensified the anticipation with an upcoming mini European tour as well as the recently released cover of Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun." While "Black Hole Sun," was recorded years ago and won't be included or reflect the sonic and lyrical discourses of "James River," it's a welcomed addition to D'Angelo's discography.
